Post #5: Reflection or how's it going so far...

What is easy about research your topic?
What make this research paper easy for me is the topic and how much I'm involved with horses in my daily life. So my love and passion for these creatures motivate my research and will make my paper that much strong in the end.

What is difficult about researching your topic?
I think the hardest part of this research paper is the time and length of time it take to gather all the information it takes to even begin thinking about actually typing my paper.

Post #4: Preliminary thesis and/or research questions. Maybe just some background questions to learn more about the topic.

My topic is on horse abuse and  horse slaughter. I have done a lot of good research and have come up with some new questions such as:
1) what happens to horses when they are raced to young?
2) whipping a horse while in a race abuse? well this question is a question within itself because the next question is what is the actual definition of abuse? These are all things I have to keep tab on and make sure to include in my research.

Post #3: Reflection or how's it going so far...

It amazes me to think how people could be so crule and abusive to the equine family. raceaking and winning is all that matters to these jockeys. One would thibk that these trainers and jocks would want to treat their horse with respect and take the best care to get their hotses best performance. but instead they drag them through hell drug them up and then with they are broken and then broken again they sell them at an action and from there they are brought to a slaughterhouse and get slaughter for hogrse meat. i want to protest and end this abuse. to the animals that are soo loyal through all they are put through

What I know?
wild horses and racehorses are in danger adn need to be protected
What I Want to Know?
i would like to learn more on the wild horses and their issuse of abuse.

How Do I Find It?
i could find more of this onfprmation by talking to some people who are expert on this subject and looking through some more databases

What Did I Learn?
Racehorses are being absused. They get drugged up just to make them run faster and to make them run and they give these horses drugs if they are injured to cover up their injuries to keep them in the race even though they shouldn't be racing. Plus after these horse totally brake down thevy are sent to slaughter house for horse meat. but not only racehorses are being sent to slaughterhouse wild horses are also captured and sent to be slaughtered.
How do I use It?
i would use this information to futher my research

I am interested in this topic because i have grown up around horses sense I was little. My mom has taught me how important horses are and how to communicate with them and understand them. So as I grow up and now a senior in high school thinking about what i want in life i have come to the conclusion that horses are my love and passion. I have also worked on a farm in Pownal Vt called Amara Farm, which is a really nice horse barn, this is also another place were I have learned a lot about horses how to take care of them what medication to give them for certain injuries and how much. I was also able to get into riding horses again my instructor who is also my now best friend Karrie Holbrook. So I have decided to write and research on horses abuses in racing and horse slaughter. This will be one way i will stand up for these beautiful and most amazing creatures.
